After a rather tough play, Inter de Chillán's Juan Luis Dittborn got a free kick in the 6th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Juan Luis Dittborn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeng Di Ang. Mauro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Luis Dittborn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Inter de Chillán's Steve Vaid got a free kick in the 16th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Islam Slimani during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. José Ignacio Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Kinic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute Mauro were awarded a corner. Teofil Bara went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Inter de Chillán's goalie and right to Karol Kinic. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Inter de Chillán's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. José Ignacio Rocha made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Wasyl Pincoski sent off a good shot on target. Zeng Di Ang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giuseppe Meazza's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Zeng Di Ang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Luis Dittborn in the 34th minute of play. If Wasyl Pincoski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Wassermayer hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. José Ignacio Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofil Bara in the 43rd minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Luis Dittborn to make the kick off. Karol Kinic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Ignacio Rocha having to interfere. During the 61st minute of the match Islam Slimani completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Islam Slimani a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Islam Slimani kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Inter de Chillán's Francisco Lacunza was substituted for Giuseppe Meazza. After a rather tough play, Mauro's Islam Slimani got a free kick in the 62nd minute. A collision led to Mauro getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Fryderyk Orling hit a great ball. A hard shot 69 in the game by Juan Luis Alfaro from a close distance when the talented Zeng Di Ang managed to make a qualified save. Mauro's players were relieved. The supporters of Inter de Chillán booed when Mauro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucjan Figlewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Inter de Chillán's zone, Wasyl Pincoski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Ignacio Rocha came out of the goal and Wasyl Pincoski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th match minute, Inter de Chillán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaldo Detmer to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute, Bernardino Cataldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karol Kinic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. José Ignacio Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeng Di Ang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Lacunza in the 85th minute of the match. Zeng Di Ang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogerio Berecedo in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Inter de Chillán booed when Mauro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wawrzyniec Bara didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Mauro's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Lacunza came free, but Zeng Di Ang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Wawrzyniec Bara fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mauro's protests and gave Wawrzyniec Bara a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mauro getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Wawrzyniec Bara hit a great ball. Mauro's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Juan Luis Alfaro scored to the left of an out of position Zeng Di Ang, making the score, 0-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Inter de Chillán walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
