If Serginho Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 6 minutes of play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Durval de Queirós made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eulalio Montrel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Xu Li Sang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Eulalio Montrel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Perivaldo Sampaio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manoel Neuer was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Eulalio Montrel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco van Basten in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Dobromir Zagrodny got a free kick in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Atlético-PR's goal looked a bit too open when Dobromir Zagrodny came free, but Eulalio Montrel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco van Basten in the 25th minute of play forced Atlético-PR's goalkeeper Eulalio Montrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jovens Democratas MZC's Manoel Neuer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrinho Hoffmann in the 26th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedrinho Hoffmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eulalio Montrel came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Jovens Democratas MZC's Marco van Basten. But to his dismay, Marco van Basten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Eulalio Montrel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xu Li Sang in the 56th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Dobromir Zagrodny had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eulalio Montrel. Atlético-PR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dobromir Zagrodny was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The supporters of Jovens Democratas MZC booed when Atlético-PR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Márcio Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dobromir Zagrodny scored 5-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eulalio Montrel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Atlético-PR's Eulalio Montrel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco van Basten in the 66th minute of play. Diogo Rezende's late challenge caught a Jovens Democratas MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diogo Rezende helped the player get up and apologised. Jovens Democratas MZC's Giuseppe Negri was substituted for Serginho Sabóia. In the 73rd minute, Diogo Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Jovens Democratas MZC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manoel Neuer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Eulalio Montrel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jovens Democratas MZC's Manoel Neuer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Jovens Democratas MZC from getting a goal against them. After 92 minutes of play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Giuseppe Negri made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eulalio Montrel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 94 minutes, David Puyol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jovens Democratas MZC and the Atlético-PR players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Jovens Democratas MZC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. David Puyol hit a great ball. 97 minutes into the match, Atlético-PR's goal looked a bit too open when Xu Li Sang came free, but Eulalio Montrel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Jovens Democratas MZC fully deserved thier win.
