The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rogério Soberano made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Ren Xi Chen sent off a good shot on target. After 9 minutes of play, CA Portugália's Fernandinho Barral made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sergio Romero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sergio Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Fernando dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, April 25 SC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando dos Santos came free, but Sergio Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leif Harlén during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ramiro James fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Soberano having to interfere. Sergio Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Fernando dos Santos in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Carlos Fernando dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergio Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Tasso in the 22nd minute of play. Sergio Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Günalp Boysel in the 32nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, April 25 SC's Ren Xi Chen got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 40th match minute, April 25 SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Platini to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in April 25 SC's zone, Fernandinho Barral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Romero came out of the goal and Fernandinho Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, April 25 SC's Cristo Marques got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Anísio Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. With a little luck, CA Portugália's Rogério Soberano got control of the ball when Ren Xi Chen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Fernando dos Santos was the one to do the kick off. When CA Portugália's Carlos Fernando dos Santos in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sergio Romero came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by CA Portugália's Carlos Fernando dos Santos. But to his dismay, Carlos Fernando dos Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. CA Portugália's Tomé De Roeulx was substituted for Claudinei Tasso. In the 77th minute Tomé De Roeulx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristo Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Tomé De Roeulx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Sergio Romero made a huge save. Rogério Soberano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ren Xi Chen in the 80th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, April 25 SC's goalkeeper Sergio Romero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomé De Roeulx. When CA Portugália's Carlos Fernando dos Santos in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the April 25 SC defense, Tomé De Roeulx kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sergio Romero. The April 25 SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sergio Romero should have stopped the shot. The April 25 SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CA Portugália were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
