An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Gertsyk in the 12th minute of play forced Rovine Craiova's goalkeeper Dorin Arșanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Theo Fil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jyrki Saarelainen in the 13th minute of the match. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Feliu got free with Dorin Arșanu in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dorin Arșanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kazimierz Merski, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jyrki Saarelainen made a kick off. After a rather tough play, FC Barcelona Lassa's Tobiasz Dubiel got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Stergios Gitkos charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stergios Gitkos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, Anton Gertsyk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dorin Arșanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 82nd minute Marcel Turcescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Fil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcel Turcescu in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Theo Fil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 85th minute, Javier Sanguinetti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the match, Rovine Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Gertsyk came free, but Dorin Arșanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petre Ştiopul got a throw-in 90 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jyrki Saarelainen. Theo Fil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jyrki Saarelainen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Rovine Craiova booed when FC Barcelona Lassa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radamel Falcao didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Barcelona Lassa had won after a very even match.
