LANUS's goal looked a bit too open when Amedeo Vitucci came free, but Cristian Mergildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. LANUS's goalkeeper Cristian Mergildo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. C.A. LANUS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Eusebio Beltran scored to the left of an out of position Cristian Mergildo, making the score, 1-0. If Eusebio Beltran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice moves Eusebio Beltran could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Cristian Mergildo however easily saved by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Águilas Poblanas's Eusebio Beltran slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristian Mergildo. That made the score 2-0 after 17 minutes of play. Alexandros Ismael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adamantios Geronimidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's Eusebio Beltran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristian Mergildo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alexandros Ismael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adamantios Geronimidis in the 28th minute of play. Águilas Poblanas's Alexandros Ismael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adamantios Geronimidis in the 29th minute of play. With a little luck, C.A. LANUS's Cristian Mergildo got control of the ball when Eusebio Beltran tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute Águilas Poblanas were awarded a corner. Niklas Pedersson went to the cornerflag to take it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusebio Beltran in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristian Mergildo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 35 minutes of play, Águilas Poblanas's Amedeo Vitucci made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Mergildo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 38th minute, one of C.A. LANUS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for C.A. LANUS. Eusebio Beltran struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Cristian Mergildo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Águilas Poblanas.

The audience was convinced that Eusebio Beltran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristian Mergildo was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Beltran in the 52nd minute of play forced C.A. If Carlo Ciolli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Levente Végh hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Eusebio Beltran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristian Mergildo having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusebio Beltran in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristian Mergildo saved C.A. LANUS from getting behind. Eusebio Beltran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pang Xing Lang kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Adamantios Geronimidis notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Águilas Poblanas's Alexandros Ismael. Alexandros Ismael was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Águilas Poblanas fans cheered their team off the field, for while C.A. LANUS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
