An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Naelio in the 24th minute of play forced Encarale a la gordita's goalkeeper Shao Shu Lang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loco Durazno got free with Shao Shu Lang in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Roman Gregory managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argentina's supporters rose to their feet, but Roman Gregory was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shao Shu Lang breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded Argentina left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Encarale a la gordita.
