In the 32nd minute Fulvio Vittorio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Osomo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John Osomo came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by La France FC's Fulvio Vittorio. But to his dismay, Fulvio Vittorio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Denílson Abreu made in the 41st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Frans Larsfelt. After 43 played minutes PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Denílson Abreu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bennvar Caddick in the 47th minute of play forced La France FC's goalkeeper Dani Vassaras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Örjan Björkdahl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 95th minute, Gustavo Frasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
