The referee ignored Mertesdorf FC's protests and gave Petrică Patriciu a yellow card for diving instead. Petrică Patriciu hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the game, Randy Kläser was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mertesdorf FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Família Ressaca MZ the free kick. In the 9th match minute, Mertesdorf FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Randy Kläser to maneuver through the defense. Mertesdorf FC's Richard Reiss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Centenales in the 11th minute of play. After 15 minutes of play, Família Ressaca MZ's Natalio Centenales made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richard Reiss was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mertesdorf FC's Richard Reiss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Centenales in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Natalio Centenales notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Mertesdorf FC's Richard Reiss. A collision led to Família Ressaca MZ getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Bin Albertini hit a great ball. Cleto Gonza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xie Guang Fei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Richard Reiss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natalio Centenales in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natalio Centenales in the 38th minute of play forced Mertesdorf FC's goalkeeper Richard Reiss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. In the 61st minute of the match, Ronaldinho do Vale got a very nice opportunity to score, but Richard Reiss was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Richard Reiss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natalio Centenales, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 64th match minute, Mertesdorf FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petrică Patriciu to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Randy Kläser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Natalio Centenales got free with Richard Reiss in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jakob Stevens during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Família Ressaca MZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovanni Baptista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Reiss breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Família Ressaca MZ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mertesdorf FC throughout the match.
