Emil Pilarski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marek Wielopolski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justin Kluivert, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, V.V.V - Venlo's Halldór Jökulsson got a free kick in the 24th minute. If Emil Pilarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justin Kluivert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 33 minutes, Justin Kluivert made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Skallagrimur's Marek Wielopolski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Godsk in the 36th minute of play forced V.V.V - Venlo's goalkeeper Austmar Janusson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Godsk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Austmar Janusson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Emil Pilarski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarl Hafsteinsson in the 46th minute of play forced Skallagrimur's goalkeeper Marek Wielopolski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarl Hafsteinsson scored 1-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marek Wielopolski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Justin Kluivert made the kick off in the second half. Eduard Cârstea scored 2-2 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Austmar Janusson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Justin Kluiverts short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Marek Wielopolski to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. V.V.V - Venlo were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Skallagrimur's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rafnar Sveinsson took the corner. The corner ended in Rafnar Sveinsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Skallagrimur's Marek Wielopolski did a great save. 陶霆榕 kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, V.V.V - Venlo's Rafnar Sveinsson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Emil Pilarski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Skallagrimur's Eduard Cârstea was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Austmar Janusson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 63 minutes into the match, Emil Pilarski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Austmar Janusson. V.V.V - Venlo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emil Pilarski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Austmar Janusson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Reno, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. A collision led to V.V.V - Venlo getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Friðþór Bjarmason hit a great ball. Tomas Godsk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
