An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Roland in the 8th minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Jacek Matuch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, SV Bad Harzburg's Jacek Matuch got control of the ball when Loris Groß tried to sneak it across the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Roberto Carlos threw the ball into play from the sideline. Fc Schönhagen's Rouven Bernhauer quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Junior Grajdeanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Jacek Matuch when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Jacek Matuch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loris Groß. Fc Schönhagen's Sebastián Torrico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurek Ohrem in the 26th minute of play. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Éthan Pichard sped through Fc Schönhagen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sebastián Torrico. Fc Schönhagen's Sebastián Torrico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Loi in the 32nd minute of play. Jacek Matuch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loris Groß, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. SV Bad Harzburg's Jacek Matuch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaus Wauters in the 36th minute of play. SV Bad Harzburg's Jacek Matuch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save SV Bad Harzburg from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute Silvestre Loi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Torrico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute Éthan Pichard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Torrico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Loris Groß made a precise shot to the right of Jacek Matuch. SV Bad Harzburg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 57th minute of the game Roberto Carlos made a throw-in which Éthan Pichard played forward. Sebastián Torrico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Éthan Pichard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to SV Bad Harzburg getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ksawery Rzeszutko hit a great ball. Jacek Matuch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Junior Grajdeanu in the 59th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Silvestre Loi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastián Torrico was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. SV Bad Harzburg's Jacek Matuch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Roland in the 65th minute of play. Sebastián Torrico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Éthan Pichard in the 72nd minute of play. Sebastián Torrico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Éthan Pichard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvestre Loi got free with Sebastián Torrico in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fc Schönhagen's Loris Groß suffered a sore thigh after 82 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 82 minutes, Toralf Hell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SV Bad Harzburg and the Fc Schönhagen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fc Schönhagen's Sid Heuzeroth was substituted for Loris Groß. In the 83rd match minute, SV Bad Harzburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toralf Hell to maneuver through the defense. Roberto Carlos made in the 86th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Éthan Pichard immediately put the ball in play. After a defensive mix-up in SV Bad Harzburg's zone, Sid Heuzeroth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacek Matuch came out of the goal and Sid Heuzeroth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sebastián Torrico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Éthan Pichard, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 92 minutes into the match, Fc Schönhagen's goal looked a bit too open when Éthan Pichard came free, but Sebastián Torrico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The whistle blew for the end of the second half and the match was still tied. The players were able to take a short break before lining up again for extra-time.

After the break the players went out on the field to play the first half of overtime with revived energy in their legs. SV Bad Harzburg's Silvestre Loi started the play with the initial kick off. 104 minutes into the match, Rolando Roland notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of SV Bad Harzburg's Jacek Matuch. Jacek Matuch was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Fc Schönhagen players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
