If Alfredo Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Alfredo Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marquês de Herval's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Martins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henning Heringer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute Alfredo Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Heringer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, one of Marquês de Herval:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dida Taffarel went to the wrong direction when Peter Grommers was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Obbo Tippelt in the 29th minute of play. If Peter Grommers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the game, PoznanGalaxy's 巩翔傲 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dida Taffarel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The audience was convinced that Peter Grommers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dida Taffarel was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Obbo Tippelt in the 66th minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oalo Karas short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Dida Taffarel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Marquês de Herval from getting a goal against them.
