Dmitriy Kukushkin was left in no man's land by his defense there! 15 minutes into the match, Mundial EC's goal looked a bit too open when Filipp Ermolin came free, but Germano Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Konstantin Abalakin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sportkarelclub FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Senna in the 23rd minute of play forced Sportkarelclub FC's goalkeeper Dmitriy Kukushkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Filipp Ermolin came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Sportkarelclub FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipp Ermolin couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the game, Arseniy Sarmatov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sportkarelclub FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mundial EC the free kick. In the 34th minute, Arseniy Sarmatov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mundial EC's Tomás Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute Tomás Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dmitriy Kukushkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Mundial EC's Tomás Senna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dmitriy Kukushkin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After the first half Mundial EC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomás Senna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Reinaldo de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mundial EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Reinaldo de Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dmitriy Kukushkin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Sportkarelclub FC booed when Mundial EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustão Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Mundial EC's goal looked a bit too open when Columbo Rocandio came free, but Germano Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportkarelclub FC's goalkeeper Dmitriy Kukushkin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dmitriy Kukushkin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reinaldo de Alcântara in the 63rd minute. Reinaldo de Alcântara's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dmitriy Kukushkin firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 72 played minutes Columbo Rocandio shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Mundial EC's Germano Moraes to catch but Columbo Rocandio was lucky. It became 2-4 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Filipp Ermolin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dmitriy Kukushkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, Sportkarelclub FC's goalkeeper Dmitriy Kukushkin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reinaldo de Alcântara. The Mundial EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
