After having played for 4 minutes, Fábio Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sururu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fábio Lira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 5 played minutes Poggio got a freekick which was hit by Eraldo Pellecchia. Tales das Neves charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tales das Neves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Augusto Zinni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Meireles hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Carter Cacciatore took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Juninho Ceresso. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Poggio had won after a very even match.
