The goal made the score 1-0. Stuttgarter SC's Damazy Barycz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Stuttgarter SC from getting a goal against them. Damazy Barycz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Meurs in the 12th minute of play. Rick Daelemans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iwo Kuszczak in the 14th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Humberto Meurs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eppenhuizen's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Meurs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damazy Barycz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 21 played minutes Stuttgarter SC got a freekick which was hit by Franciszek Nowacki. Damazy Barycz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stefan Lute in the 22nd minute. Gilbert Pleban shot a long shot in the 28th minute and a light blocked Rick Daelemans hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-1. Rick Daelemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iwo Kuszczak, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Iwo Kuszczak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mateusz Sroki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rick Daelemans having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mateusz Sroki stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mateusz Sroki's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Rick Daelemans skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Stuttgarter SC's Gilbert Pleban got a free kick in the 56th minute. If Otto Zaagman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Damazy Barycz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Meurs in the 59th minute of play. Marc Brouwers's late challenge caught a Stuttgarter SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marc Brouwers helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Stuttgarter SC's zone, Otto Zaagman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damazy Barycz came out of the goal and Otto Zaagman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eppenhuizen's Marc Brouwers suffered a sore knee after 71 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Florian Kluska hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Stuttgarter SC's Iwo Kuszczak got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rick Daelemans made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Iwo Kuszczak sent off a good shot on target. Ulryk Cempa's late challenge caught a Eppenhuizen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulryk Cempa helped the player get up and apologised. Ulryk Cempa hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. A hard shot 90 in the game by Iwo Kuszczak from a close distance when the talented Rick Daelemans managed to make a qualified save. Eppenhuizen's players were relieved. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
