In the 2nd match minute, Bahia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adhemar Paes to maneuver through the defense. Gonçalo Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simo Hadzhiatanasov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cláudio Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Yoakim Smolyanov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 minutes of play, Bahia EC's Eliseu Paraibano made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yoakim Smolyanov was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 15 played minutes FC Duganowo got a freekick which was hit by Rosen Vrachovski. Yoakim Smolyanov acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 16th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Adrianinho de Queirós. Eliseu Paraibano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Yoakim Smolyanov made a huge save. Gonçalo Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peyo Tatarev in the 20th minute of the match. After having played for 21 minutes, Stoil Adzharov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Duganowo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stoil Adzharov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gonçalo Chaves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peyo Tatarev's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Duganowo's goalkeeper Yoakim Smolyanov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 29th minute, one of Bahia EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bahia EC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peyo Tatarev in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gonçalo Chaves saved Bahia EC from getting behind. Stoil Adzharov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Chaves having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Peyo Tatarev made a kick off. Adhemar Paes kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. When FC Duganowo's Peyo Tatarev in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The FC Duganowo fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when FC Duganowo's Peyo Tatarev looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 55th match minute, FC Duganowo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosen Vrachovski to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Bahia EC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Adhemar Paes hit a great ball. The long shot by Simo Hadzhiatanasov in the 59th minute really tested Gonçalo Chaves's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Stoil Adzharov sped through Bahia EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gonçalo Chaves. Dorian Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Gonçalo Chaves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stoil Adzharov in the 77th minute. Peyo Tatarev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yoakim Smolyanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseu Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bahia EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! The FC Duganowo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Duganowo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
