Fronteiras EC's Gonçalo Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwo Kuszczak in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Fronteiras EC booed when Stuttgarter SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Kluska didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stuttgarter SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fronteiras EC the free kick. Iwo Kuszczak hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match.
