A beautiful save bye Carilleros de Nayarit's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sururu's zone, Cecilio Bihar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juninho Ceresso came out of the goal and Cecilio Bihar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mané Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 27 minutes of play, Sururu's Mané Aguiar made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amado Rufio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fábio Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Amado Rufio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 minutes, Tales das Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sururu and the Carilleros de Nayarit players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Sururu's zone, Baldomiro Bidari stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juninho Ceresso came out of the goal and Baldomiro Bidari tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cecilio Bihar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sururu's Mané Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mané Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mané Aguiar made a kick off. Baldomiro Bidari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Bihar in the 54th minute of play forced Sururu's goalkeeper Juninho Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baldomiro Bidari struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Juninho Ceresso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carilleros de Nayarit. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cecilio Bihar in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juninho Ceresso saved Sururu from getting behind. Amado Rufio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amado Rufio was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Fábio Lira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fábio Lira really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. 80 minutes into the match, Sururu's goal looked a bit too open when Cecilio Bihar came free, but Juninho Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mané Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 minutes, Robustiano Gil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carilleros de Nayarit and the Sururu players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Carilleros de Nayarit supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sururu's performance. The match ended with a win for Sururu.
