Hieronim Dresik's late challenge caught a Sururu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Borys Wos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Lira in the 14th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Fábio Lira made a precise shot to the right of Borys Wos. Bielanositi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Ignacy Rzentkowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bielanositi's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignacy Rzentkowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juninho Ceresso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ignacy Rzentkowski charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ignacy Rzentkowski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fábio Lira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Borys Wos made a huge save. Mané Aguiar might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Borys Wos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mané Aguiar ran back to his position shaking his head. If Damazy Miodek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the game, Luís Meireles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sururu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bielanositi the free kick. A hard and well directed shot from Marian Majczyk led 42 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Sururu's Juninho Ceresso became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
