In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carilleros de Nayarit's goalkeeper Amado Rufio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 5th match minute, Carilleros de Nayarit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robustiano Gil to maneuver through the defense. Conal Sinclair's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Amado Rufio firmly grabbed it by the left post. Fabio Dantel charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabio Dantel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Carilleros de Nayarit getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Fabio Dantel hit a great ball. Paul Case blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amado Rufio having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Bihar in the 26th minute of play forced Wordsley City's goalkeeper Michael Leslie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cecilio Bihar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Leslie having to interfere. In the 39th minute Conal Sinclair suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 40th match minute, Carilleros de Nayarit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Kepa to maneuver through the defense. Paul Case received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Amado Rufio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Carilleros de Nayarit's goal looked a bit too open when Grant Haylock came free, but Amado Rufio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michael Leslie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Bidari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Cayetano Gagriel hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Harvey Halford hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Amado Rufio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reggie Ginn in the 54th minute of the match. Michael Leslie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cecilio Bihar in the 58th minute of play. Carilleros de Nayarit's Amado Rufio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Case in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of Wordsley City booed when Carilleros de Nayarit was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Maule didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paul Case fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Rufio having to interfere. Wordsley City's Michael Leslie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Wordsley City from getting a goal against them. If Baldomiro Bidari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Carilleros de Nayarit booed when Wordsley City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlton Laverack didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cecilio Bihar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Carilleros de Nayarit booed when Wordsley City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant Haylock didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wordsley City's Paul Case got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Harvey Halford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Amado Rufio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baldomiro Bidari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michael Leslie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Bihar, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Paul Case struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Amado Rufio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wordsley City. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
