After some careless play in the Lobos de Carelia defense, Luís Caeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nestor Cortez. The Lobos de Carelia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Cortez should have stopped the shot. Armindo Salgado made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Prospero Perico sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim de Barros in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor Cortez saved Lobos de Carelia from getting behind. When Prospero Perico came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Lobos de Carelia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prospero Perico couldn't finish the play. Armindo Salgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusebio Rios in the 20th minute. When VB-Team's Joaquim de Barros in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lobos de Carelia's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Lobos de Carelia getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Vecdi Tamkut hit a great ball. Cristobal Lia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Salgado having to interfere. After 34 minutes of play, VB-Team's Joaquim de Barros made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nestor Cortez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Armindo Salgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prospero Perico in the 38th minute. Luís Caeiro scored 0-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nestor Cortez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Joaquim de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Luís Caeiro came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the VB-Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Caeiro couldn't finish the play. After the first half VB-Team were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Armindo Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Lia in the 51st minute of the match. A collision led to VB-Team getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Shao Kun Yuan hit a great ball. If Prospero Perico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nestor Cortez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Perico came free, but Armindo Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Cortez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Caeiro in the 66th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Nestor Cortez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim de Barros. With an all-out effort, VB-Team's Nestor Cortez threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Traian Hăvârneanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 90 minutes into the game, Gervásio Severiano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nestor Cortez. Gervásio Severiano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4.
