ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independente FC the free kick. Zülfikar Özkurt hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see Independente FC's Benedito Trancoso in action when he in the 26th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The audience thought a goal was coming when José Vítor Rodrigues got free with Cumali Oykan in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute Independente FC were awarded a corner. Benedito Trancoso went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Independente FC's corner Benedito Trancoso fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cumali Oykan quite easily take care of the ball. Nestor Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tuna Usun, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 37 played minutes ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ got a freekick which was hit by Özgür Dayı. Cumali Oykan made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Vítor Rodrigues in the 42nd minute. ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ's Cumali Oykan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Rodrigues in the 70th minute of play. Zé Carlos de Azevedo took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cumali Oykan. Cumali Oykan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 89th minute, Zé Carlos de Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cumali Oykan was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. The supporters of ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ booed when Independente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedito Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Independente FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
