Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Soares in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jimeno Hunfredo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 82 minutes into the match, Tristán Suárez FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Carlos de Azevedo came free, but Jimeno Hunfredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jimeno Hunfredo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Independente FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
