In the 14th minute Fernando Grover shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yao Zhan Sang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benicio Balasi, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Grover in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silverio Cordearo saved CA Quake from getting behind. Silverio Cordearo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltazar Clavijo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baltazar Clavijo in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silverio Cordearo saved CA Quake from getting behind. The Borussia Dortmund fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Borussia Dortmund's Tomas Levander looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind CA Quake's goalkeeper Silverio Cordearo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Grover in the 25th minute of play forced CA Quake's goalkeeper Silverio Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silverio Cordearo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltazar Clavijo in the 28th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in CA Quake's zone, Fernando Grover stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silverio Cordearo came out of the goal and Fernando Grover tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silverio Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltazar Clavijo in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Borussia Dortmund were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Fernando Grover made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Grover in the 51st minute of play forced CA Quake's goalkeeper Silverio Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silverio Cordearo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Baltazar Clavijo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 53 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Borussia Dortmund's zone, Benicio Balasi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yao Zhan Sang came out of the goal and Benicio Balasi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silverio Cordearo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emesto Llames in the 59th minute. After 59 played minutes CA Quake got a freekick which was hit by Tomi Giusti. With a little luck, CA Quake's Silverio Cordearo got control of the ball when Baltazar Clavijo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 66th minute Fernando Grover shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Fernando Grover ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silverio Cordearo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. CA Quake's Igor Jago was substituted for Abel Inko. Fernando Grover received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Silverio Cordearo came out and tried to block the shot, but Fernando Grover slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 75th minute. Silverio Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Grover in the 78th minute of play. Yao Zhan Sang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Balasi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Borussia Dortmund booed when CA Quake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Ledesma didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Fernando Grover got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute, Baltazar Clavijo made a precise shot to the right of Silverio Cordearo. CA Quake's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. The Borussia Dortmund players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
