With a little luck, Kanaryalar's Adolfo Ruisko got control of the ball when Luís Suárez tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th minute Paulo Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Ruisko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Kanaryalar booed when Grêmio RK75 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Suárez in the 37th minute of play forced Kanaryalar's goalkeeper Adolfo Ruisko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serginho Pinheiro's late challenge caught a Kanaryalar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Serginho Pinheiro helped the player get up and apologised. After 45 played minutes Grêmio RK75 got a freekick which was hit by Serginho Pinheiro. Kanaryalar's Olle Sundberg got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Olle Sundberg took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Elder Ramalho to make any attempt to save it. Alvar Aspengren might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elder Ramalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvar Aspengren ran back to his position shaking his head. 66 minutes into the match, Grêmio RK75's goal looked a bit too open when Alvar Aspengren came free, but Elder Ramalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvar Aspengren in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elder Ramalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Alvar Aspengren sped through Grêmio RK75's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Elder Ramalho. Paulo Nunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adolfo Ruisko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Alvar Aspengren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elder Ramalho. That made the score 0-4 in the 79 minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Mário Sérgio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grêmio RK75's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kanaryalar the free kick. A collision led to Grêmio RK75 getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Mário Sérgio hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, Kanaryalar's Alvar Aspengren dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Elder Ramalho made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Alvar Aspengren sent off a good shot on target. Alvar Aspengren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Elder Ramalho made a huge save. Kanaryalar's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
