Johan Cromefeldt was slow to take the kick. During this time Somborac's players had a chance to rest. Somborac's Gilmar Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Rebelo in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute Adérito Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, GD Almargense's Claudemiro Tristão got control of the ball when 陈誉昂 tried to sneak it across the goal line. The GD Almargense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After the first half GD Almargense were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 陈誉昂 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to GD Almargense getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Gilmar Paraíba made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Victor Kristiansen sent off a good shot on target. 72 minutes into the match, GD Almargense's goal looked a bit too open when 陈誉昂 came free, but Claudemiro Tristão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in GD Almargense's zone, 陈誉昂 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudemiro Tristão came out of the goal and 陈誉昂 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Zarco Patrício could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Gilmar Paraíba however easily saved by the left post. Gilmar Paraíba made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Carlos Vides sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute, 陈誉昂 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudemiro Tristão was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. A hard shot 94 in the game by Zarco Patrício from a close distance when the talented Gilmar Paraíba managed to make a qualified save. Somborac's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Valadares in the 95th minute of play forced Somborac's goalkeeper Gilmar Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Carlos Vides lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Gilmar Paraíba. The GD Almargense supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing GD Almargense would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
