Tugay Cansal scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Önder İlbaşı, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 10thth minute of the game Nuratay Sidal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Derbent's Hans-Joachim Grath was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's Nuratay Sidal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hans-Joachim Grath narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Önder İlbaşı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehmet Hakkı Deveci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johnny Melander during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü booed when Derbent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Melander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hans-Joachim Grath made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuratay Sidal in the 16th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Arda Göksel Ülker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Derbent's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü the free kick. After a rather tough play, Derbent's Arda Göksel Ülker got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's Nuratay Sidal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hans-Joachim Grath. Hans-Joachim Grath yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's Önder İlbaşı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Hakkı Deveci in the 26th minute of play. Önder İlbaşı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şener Okdağ, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Baycan Kunter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Önder İlbaşı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nuratay Sidal had several of the Derbent's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 35 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Hans-Joachim Grath as he didn't even see the shot coming. Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's Önder İlbaşı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tugay Cansal in the 38th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

52 minutes into the match, Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's goalkeeper Önder İlbaşı had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tugay Cansal. Hans-Joachim Grath made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuratay Sidal in the 54th minute of play. Önder İlbaşı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Hakkı Deveci in the 55th minute of play. 陈景昆's late challenge caught a Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 陈景昆 helped the player get up and apologised. Hans-Joachim Grath came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's Nuratay Sidal. But to his dismay, Nuratay Sidal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Mehmet Hakkı Deveci struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Önder İlbaşı didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Derbent. Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's Önder İlbaşı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Hakkı Deveci in the 65th minute of play. Önder İlbaşı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehmet Hakkı Deveci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baycan Kunter got free with Önder İlbaşı in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Derbent booed when Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tacettin Tanır didn't get a good kick on the ball. Önder İlbaşı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şener Okdağ in the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Hakkı Deveci in the 82nd minute of play forced Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's goalkeeper Önder İlbaşı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Nuratay Sidal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Nuratay Sidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With 96 minutes on the clock, Kubat Kulan commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü! After 100 minutes Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marc-Joel Götze who took care of the corner kick. Derbent's Marc-Joel Götze was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Önder İlbaşı in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Derbent players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü.
