In the 4th minute 杜国荣 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Walczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, 邓俊青 fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Artur Walczyk was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and 邓俊青 capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. 邓俊青 really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 18 minutes into the game, 崔霖剑 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Schalke 04's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mauda the free kick. When Mikolaj Niewiadomski fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mauda's protests and gave Mikolaj Niewiadomski a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Schalke 04 booed when Mauda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikolaj Niewiadomski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wincenty Fetor made in the 21st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Marek Rykaczewski however managed to control. Artur Walczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 邓俊青 in the 22nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Schalke 04 defense, Marek Rykaczewski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 朱德升. The Schalke 04 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 朱德升 should have stopped the shot. After 30 minutes of play, Schalke 04's 邓俊青 made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Artur Walczyk was left in no man's land by his defense there! 郭瑜俊 hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marek Rykaczewski in the 35th minute of play forced Schalke 04's goalkeeper 朱德升 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Schalke 04 getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. 郭瑜俊 hit a great ball. Schalke 04's 朱德升 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedykt Palzewicz in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krzysztof Mios in the 39th minute of play forced Schalke 04's goalkeeper 朱德升 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 46 minutes of play, Schalke 04's 杜国荣 made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Artur Walczyk was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 温锋风 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Wincenty Fetor in the 55th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Schalke 04's 蒋桦荣. If 蒋桦荣 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute 叶坤奕 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Walczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Wincenty Fetor in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Schalke 04's 蒋桦荣. 杜国荣 kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Mauda defense, 杜国荣 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Artur Walczyk. The Mauda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Artur Walczyk should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by 温锋风 in the 87th minute of play forced Mauda's goalkeeper Artur Walczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 叶坤奕 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Schalke 04 had played much better football throughout.
