Strong Survive were furious when Marwan Nijad was red carded, 10 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 9th minute, one of Strong Survive:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Strong Survive. In the 22nd minute Strong Survive were awarded a corner. Saul Owens went to the cornerflag to take it. Lajos Toldi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vidar Alegren, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Lajos Toldi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vidar Alegren in the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Strong Survive's Vidar Alegren got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 41st minute, Flavio Phelipe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vidar Alegren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Lajos Toldi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flavio Phelipe was the one to do the kick off. Lajos Toldi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vidar Alegren's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After 57 played minutes Millonarios got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio James. Vidar Alegren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lajos Toldi having to interfere. Vidar Alegren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Strong Survive's Damien Arias was substituted for Monroe Cervantes. Strong Survive made a substitution. Wilfred Conn replaced Mürsel Lefter. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Phelipe in the 68th minute of play forced Strong Survive's goalkeeper Tolga Tümkurt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vidar Alegren in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lajos Toldi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 73 minutes Millonarios's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Saul Owens who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Strong Survive's Saul Owens to fire away a dangerous shot which Lajos Toldi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Millonarios's Lajos Toldi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Millonarios from getting a goal against them. Tolga Tümkurt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Phelipe in the 76th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Vidar Alegren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strong Survive's supporters rose to their feet, but Vidar Alegren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lajos Toldi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flavio Phelipe in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tolga Tümkurt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 86th minute Damien Arias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lajos Toldi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Damien Arias came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Strong Survive fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damien Arias couldn't finish the play. Fabricio James hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match.

Strong Survive's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
