Ulises Olivar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustafá Carceles in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Alicante FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Dalmai came free, but Julián Aballe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute of the match Roberto Dalmai shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julián Aballe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kiko Castelao was the one to do the kick off. Julián Aballe came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Galatasaray GS's Jaroslaw Majkowski. Galatasaray GS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Alicante FC for a fine match.
