The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Fundação Marques dos Reis's Daniel Rodrigues dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Fundação Marques dos Reis's Yao Bin Yun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zachary Snaza in the 9th minute of play. Dominik Kosakowski made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Juninho Pernambucano sent off a good shot on target. Yao Bin Yun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zachary Snaza, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Dominik Kosakowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juninho Pernambucano in the 26th minute. 33 minutes into the match, FC Ruscova's goalkeeper Dominik Kosakowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Taras Romanchuk. With a little luck, FC Ruscova's Dominik Kosakowski got control of the ball when Taras Romanchuk tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yao Bin Yun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umur Renan in the 36th minute of play. Yao Bin Yun came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Ruscova's René Orságh. But to his dismay, René Orságh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. A collision led to FC Ruscova getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Glauco Motta hit a great ball. FC Ruscova's Dominik Kosakowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taras Romanchuk in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, FC Ruscova's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Filipe Viveiros fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Taras Romanchuk was the one to do the kick off. Zachary Snaza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taras Romanchuk in the 75th minute of play forced FC Ruscova's goalkeeper Dominik Kosakowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dominik Kosakowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taras Romanchuk in the 84th minute of play forced FC Ruscova's goalkeeper Dominik Kosakowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute of the match, Zachary Snaza got a very nice opportunity to score, but Yao Bin Yun was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 93rd minute, Taras Romanchuk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fundação Marques dos Reis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. FC Ruscova's Manuel Şoimu was substituted for Gustav Kvick. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the FC Ruscova players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
