An unexpectedly hard shot by Aybek Orcun in the 9th minute of play forced Azulgrana 81's goalkeeper Jiří Hasman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Jiří Hasman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jiří Hasman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aybek Orcun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Azulgrana 81's Jiří Hasman got control of the ball when Linus Fredriksson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 43 played minutes Marlin FC got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Oidor. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

A collision led to Azulgrana 81 getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Paul Horring hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute of the match, Alejandro Martinez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Juan Carlos Alvarez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Marlin FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azulgrana 81 the free kick. The supporters of Azulgrana 81 booed when Marlin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Oidor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Azulgrana 81's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
