An unexpectedly hard shot by Aykut Nadi in the 2nd minute of play forced Soroca F.C.'s goalkeeper Dan Wennerqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dan Wennerqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mbaka Mbolu in the 6th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Adrián Espadas came free, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's goalkeeper Şemsettin Tuyuğ had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrián Espadas. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Tartalo during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. KOCAELİSPOR's attentive Ahmet Orhan Bakırcı managed to snatch the ball when Cyprien Combaz made a throw-in in the 16th minute of the game. After having played for 18 minutes, Adrián Espadas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soroca F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrián Espadas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Şemsettin Tuyuğ was a little too slow when Adrián Espadas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 2-0. Soroca F.C.'s Adrián Espadas got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mbaka Mbolu in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dan Wennerqvist saved Soroca F.C. from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mbaka Mbolu to make the kick off. Soroca F.C.'s Dan Wennerqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mbaka Mbolu in the 53rd minute of play. When KOCAELİSPOR's Mbaka Mbolu in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Soroca F.C. made a substitution. Răzvan Necula replaced Adrián Espadas. Răzvan Necula took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Şemsettin Tuyuğ. Şemsettin Tuyuğ dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. KOCAELİSPOR's Kubilay Gündeş was substituted for Rafet Hazin. Dan Wennerqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mbaka Mbolu, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Soroca F.C.'s Rodolfo Atarrabi was substituted for Hernan Lano. The crowd rose to their feet as KOCAELİSPOR's Mbaka Mbolu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dan Wennerqvist. That made the score 3-2 after 81 minutes of play. Şemsettin Tuyuğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Răzvan Necula in the 86th minute of play. KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Răzvan Necula in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute Mbaka Mbolu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Wennerqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 minutes Soroca F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ahmet Orhan Bakırcı who took care of the corner kick. When Romeo Bâru fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KOCAELİSPOR's protests and gave Romeo Bâru a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to KOCAELİSPOR getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Romeo Bâru hit a great ball.
