Fenerbahçe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santo Gonzo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 9 minutes of play, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Ton Meulman made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yıldırım Yaman was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 16 minutes, Santo Gonzo made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Fenerbahçe's Yıldırım Yaman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe's goal looked a bit too open when Tolek Mlekodaj came free, but Yıldırım Yaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Stig-Åke Blomberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute Ton Meulman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yıldırım Yaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ton Meulman took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yıldırım Yaman. Yıldırım Yaman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ton Meulman in the 38th minute of play forced Fenerbahçe's goalkeeper Yıldırım Yaman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 minutes, Gazi Seralp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fenerbahçe and the Deportivo Pomelo Nenene players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gazi Seralp kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Yıldırım Yaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolek Mlekodaj, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute Tuncer İribaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albino Maiorga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Deportivo Pomelo Nenene were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tuncer İribaş stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Albino Maiorga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aras Daman in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute Tolek Mlekodaj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yıldırım Yaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 60 minutes on the clock, Binali Hicabi commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Yıldırım Yaman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tolek Mlekodaj in the 63rd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Santo Gonzo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Yıldırım Yaman, 0-6. Yıldırım Yaman didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 67th minute, which inside left pole to 0-7. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene made a substitution. Gaspar Pomelov replaced Tolek Mlekodaj. Yıldırım Yaman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Húmi Pomelin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-13 in the 98 minute of play. When the match was over Deportivo Pomelo Nenene could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fenerbahçe throughout the match.
