With a little luck, Derby County's Domingo Arnold got control of the ball when Max Altschuler tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 42nd minute Rudolph Baum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Arnold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingo Arnold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Osswald in the 44th minute of the match. Derby County's Domingo Arnold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolph Baum in the 45th minute of play. Mark Murry's late challenge caught a Newcastle United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mark Murry helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Derby County getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Max Altschuler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The attack was good, but when Max Altschuler in the 51st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal.
