The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michel Batistuta made a kick off. In the 55th minute Purple Talents were awarded a corner. Christof Bernage went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 56th match minute, los nadies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Colin Barco to maneuver through the defense. After taking down the ball on los nadies's corner Ola Bukaka fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Iker Carabajal quite easily take care of the ball. In the 94th minute Simon Koldobika shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Carabajal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The los nadies manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Purple Talents to win.
