Phantasy World's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Manos Trachanas made in the 11th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Darko Pančev however managed to control. Sebastião Xoxe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Maria Neiva went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pogoń Szczecin's goalkeeper Sebastião Xoxe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Manos Trachanas in the 18th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Phantasy World's Tymoteusz Kicia. 19 minutes into the game, Norbert Major lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Antoni Olejarz. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chadli Boudjedra to make the kick off.
