The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Augusto Oliviero made the kick off in the second half. Augusto Oliviero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lanús were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after TZILACATZIN's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jake Hursey took the corner. The corner ended in Jake Hursey almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but TZILACATZIN's Edinho Lira did a great save. In the 83rd minute Augusto Oliviero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victoriano Distiratsu kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Edinho Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Oliviero in the 85th minute of the match. Augusto Oliviero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baldomero Suarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvadore González, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 91 minutes into the game, Salvadore González cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Baldomero Suarez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Esteve Herrera fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lanús's protests and gave Esteve Herrera a yellow card for diving instead.
