The audience thought a goal was coming when Dabi Vila got free with Diguinho Carioca in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 12 minutes, Nereo Cacheres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los once leones Ourense and the C o n f i a n ç a - SE players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Nereo Cacheres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dabi Vila who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Diguinho Carioca when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to C o n f i a n ç a - SE getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Charles Capixaba hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, C o n f i a n ç a - SE's goalkeeper Diguinho Carioca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pablo-Enrique Alabern. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Jeremias Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremias Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mao Si breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mao Si made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Maia in the 24th minute of play. Diguinho Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo-Enrique Alabern, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nereo Cacheres's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Diguinho Carioca skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edelmiro Calvo got free with Diguinho Carioca in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Los once leones Ourense's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nereo Cacheres in the 37th minute. In the 37th match minute, Los once leones Ourense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urdin Castan to maneuver through the defense. Dabi Vila came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Diguinho Carioca could save by the left post. Diguinho Carioca made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Dabi Vila sent off a good shot on target. Mao Si showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Maia in the 42nd minute of the match. Clayton Pedron took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mao Si. Mao Si dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clayton Pedron was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Los once leones Ourense's goalkeeper Mao Si, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo-Enrique Alabern in the 52nd minute of play forced C o n f i a n ç a - SE's goalkeeper Diguinho Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute Nereo Cacheres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diguinho Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to C o n f i a n ç a - SE getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Ernesto Monteiro hit a great ball. Diguinho Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo-Enrique Alabern in the 58th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, C o n f i a n ç a - SE's goal looked a bit too open when Nereo Cacheres came free, but Diguinho Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nereo Cacheres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Diguinho Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Cacheres in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Nereo Cacheres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 played minutes Los once leones Ourense got a freekick which was hit by Ponc Caballero. 75 minutes into the match, C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Jeremias Maia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mao Si narrowly saved just below the crossbar. C o n f i a n ç a - SE were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Los once leones Ourense's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Charles Capixaba took the corner. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Diguinho Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Cacheres in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute Los once leones Ourense were awarded a corner. Nereo Cacheres went to the cornerflag to take it. 85 minutes into the game, Ponc Caballero threw the ball into play from the sideline. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Arthur Barbosa quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 88th minute Nereo Cacheres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diguinho Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dabi Vila in the 92nd minute of play forced C o n f i a n ç a - SE's goalkeeper Diguinho Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The C o n f i a n ç a - SE supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C o n f i a n ç a - SE would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
