The Fighting Mongooses FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paralia Athens the free kick. After 5 played minutes The Fighting Mongooses FC got a freekick which was hit by Zachary Literski. The Fighting Mongooses FC's Leszek Matuch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leontin Apostu in the 11th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Leontin Apostu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leszek Matuch was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Leszek Matuch stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ionuț Marin's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After having played for 30 minutes, Ionuț Marin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paralia Athens's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ionuț Marin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Marghescu took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leszek Matuch. Leszek Matuch dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some careless play in the The Fighting Mongooses FC defense, Manuel Marghescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leszek Matuch. The The Fighting Mongooses FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leszek Matuch should have stopped the shot. Leszek Matuch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionuț Marin, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Aleksander Dawiec made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Vintilă Chelaru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paralia Athens and the The Fighting Mongooses FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marian Ciolpan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cezary Marchewka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, The Fighting Mongooses FC's Leszek Matuch got control of the ball when Manuel Marghescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Paralia Athens's Ionuț Marin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leszek Matuch. Leszek Matuch yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ionuț Marin in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leszek Matuch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Paralia Athens's Ionuț Marin in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye The Fighting Mongooses FC's goalie prevented a goal. Borys Olejniczak's late challenge caught a Paralia Athens's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marian Ciolpan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezary Marchewka in the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Vintilă Chelaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paralia Athens's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
