Calistrat Şerbănescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dorival Silveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Calistrat Şerbănescu ran back to his position shaking his head. After 10 minutes, Natanael Prata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Agroboys SM - CIMZ and the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 10 played minutes Agroboys SM - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Prata. Dorival Silveira was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Calistrat Şerbănescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Calistrat Şerbănescu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 17th minute Olívio Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Covrig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dorival Silveira made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Calistrat Şerbănescu sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th minute, Eric Astafei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olívio Sousa in the 26th minute of play forced PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Vlad Covrig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Olívio Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 30 minutes in the game, Calistrat Şerbănescu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dorival Silveira having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Pedrão Tepedino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Calistrat Şerbănescu put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dorival Silveira. After 39 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Tiberiu Rotariu. Damian Cârlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorival Silveira having to interfere. Sorin Nicorici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorival Silveira having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Calistrat Şerbănescu to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dorival Silveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dorival Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 56th minute of play. Calistrat Şerbănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Dorival Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damian Cârlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorival Silveira having to interfere. Válbson Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Olívio Sousa charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olívio Sousa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes Agroboys SM - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Sousa. 66 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Natanael Prata came free, but Vlad Covrig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agroboys SM - CIMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eliézer Araújo in the 68th minute. Sebastian Istodor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 79thth minute of the game Calistrat Şerbănescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Dorival Silveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca booed when Agroboys SM - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivélton de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 played minutes, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Sebastian Istodor shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dorival Silveira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca reached it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca had played much better football throughout.
