The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Simão de Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ranko Brezančić having to interfere. Ranko Brezančić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bola Forte in the 6th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão de Lara in the 8th minute of play forced KIFC's goalkeeper Ranko Brezančić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KIFC's Ranko Brezančić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bola Forte in the 9th minute of play. When Martin Lojanića fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KIFC's protests and gave Martin Lojanića a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, KIFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Lojanića to maneuver through the defense. Mamutes EC's Cido Cosme shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 11th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ranko Brezančić but with some difficulty. 12 minutes into the game, Mamutes EC's Bola Forte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ranko Brezančić made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ranko Brezančić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bola Forte in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simão de Lara got free with Ranko Brezančić in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Simão de Laras short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Ranko Brezančić to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Walmyr Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ranko Brezančić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Simão de Lara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ranko Brezančić. KIFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Simão de Lara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Timotije Zakić made a kick off. Ranko Brezančić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bola Forte in the 51st minute of the match. Ranko Brezančić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. KIFC's Ranko Brezančić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão de Lara in the 54th minute of play. After 55 played minutes KIFC got a freekick which was hit by Spira Miodragović.
