Águilas Poblanas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LUPO f.c the free kick. In the 23rd minute, Nicanor Pierres fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alexandros Ismael, passed just outside the right post. In the 25th minute Haarald Sauna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandros Ismael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandros Ismael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Pierres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlo Ciolli kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lev Yashin. That made the score 1-1 in the 55 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jens Van Dessel in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandros Ismael saved Águilas Poblanas from getting behind. Virgilio Txindoki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lev Yashin having to interfere. Lev Yashin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlo Ciolli went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 68th match minute, LUPO f.c was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paschalis Nastos to maneuver through the defense. Lev Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlo Ciolli in the 69th minute of the match. A collision led to Águilas Poblanas getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Aslan Allo hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Virgilio Txindoki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Águilas Poblanas's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgilio Txindoki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lev Yashin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lev Yashin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgilio Txindoki's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Beltran in the 97th minute of play forced LUPO f.c's goalkeeper Lev Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Águilas Poblanas's Alexandros Ismael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Pierres in the 98th minute of play. The Águilas Poblanas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Águilas Poblanas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
