In the 7thth minute of the game Noel Hägele who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SOFiNiN KEDiSi's Nicolae Tilihoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Esteban Dreer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haydar Dizdar in the 11th minute of play. Noel Hägele might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicolae Tilihoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Noel Hägele ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th minute Noel Hägele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolae Tilihoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esteban Dreer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haydar Dizdar in the 16th minute of the match. Nicolae Tilihoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Noel Hägele's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Jiang Yao Bin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Dreer having to interfere. If Jiang Yao Bin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Noel Hägele got free with Nicolae Tilihoi in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. GALACTICOS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Noel Hägele in the 37th minute. The corner led GALACTICOS's Noel Hägele to fire away a dangerous shot which Nicolae Tilihoi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Noel Hägele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GALACTICOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noel Hägele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicolae Tilihoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel Hägele, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haydar Dizdar in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Esteban Dreer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. GALACTICOS's Esteban Dreer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jiang Yao Bin in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of SOFiNiN KEDiSi booed when GALACTICOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clóvis Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteban Dreer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haydar Dizdar, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Noel Hägele blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicolae Tilihoi having to make a save. GALACTICOS's attentive Elco Vid managed to snatch the ball when Bulent Korkmaz made a throw-in in the 64th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Hägele in the 65th minute of play forced SOFiNiN KEDiSi's goalkeeper Nicolae Tilihoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Noel Hägele came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the GALACTICOS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Hägele couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute, SOFiNiN KEDiSi's Haydar Dizdar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. The audience was convinced that Noel Hägele's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicolae Tilihoi was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. With a little luck, GALACTICOS's Esteban Dreer got control of the ball when Jiang Yao Bin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd minute Noel Hägele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolae Tilihoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute Haydar Dizdar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Dreer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Noel Hägele scored 2-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicolae Tilihoi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
