Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alain Berset in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Grayson Gruenigen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15th minute Switzerland were awarded a corner. Ingo Minder went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Switzerland's Alain Berset getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Grayson Gruenigen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alain Berset, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 19 minutes Fischverband Ostschweiz's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ingo Minder who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Ronny Simmen almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fischverband Ostschweiz's Grayson Gruenigen did a great save. Grayson Gruenigen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alain Berset in the 23rd minute of the match. Jadon Medina made in the 44th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Andre Giacomini. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matthew Frutig to strike the kick off in the second half. Alain Berset received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Grayson Gruenigen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th match minute, Fischverband Ostschweiz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jadon Medina to maneuver through the defense. Grayson Gruenigen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alain Berset showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 58 minute of play. Alain Berset blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Grayson Gruenigen having to make a save. If Alain Berset had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alain Berset got free with Grayson Gruenigen in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alain Berset received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Grayson Gruenigen came out and tried to block the shot, but Alain Berset slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 69th minute. Switzerland made a substitution. Gilles Clerc replaced Roman Koenig. Switzerland's Neron Veterini was substituted for Alain Berset. In the 79th minute Neron Veterini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grayson Gruenigen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Neron Veterini in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Grayson Gruenigen saved Fischverband Ostschweiz from getting behind. The supporters of Switzerland booed when Fischverband Ostschweiz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jadon Medina didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute Neron Veterini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grayson Gruenigen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute of the match Switzerland got a corner. Fischverband Ostschweiz's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ingo Minder ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Switzerland getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Earvin Mela hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the game, Matthew Frutig cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Sepp Mainville was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Switzerland players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
