In the 4th minute Hector Aragones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donatello Barajo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Club Dep. Soc. Rodo booed when C.S.D Punta Ballena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jusepe Arcelay didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute Bonifaco Villalcazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donatello Barajo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Juan-Carlos Otero could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Bartoli Navagos however easily saved by the left post. 24 minutes into the game, C.S.D Punta Ballena's Isaias Fuertehijar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Donatello Barajo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Bartoli Navagos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ipar Monzonis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vidal Ximeno hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The supporters of C.S.D Punta Ballena booed when Club Dep. Soc. Rodo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iyan Bolaños didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37 minutes of play, C.S.D Punta Ballena's Hector Aragones made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donatello Barajo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Donatello Barajo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Aragones in the 46th minute of the match. Donatello Barajo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jusepe Arcelay went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ipar Monzonis to make the kick off. Donatello Barajo was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Bonifaco Villalcazar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bonifaco Villalcazar really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Donatello Barajo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jusepe Arcelay showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 61 minute of play. After 66 played minutes C.S.D Punta Ballena got a freekick which was hit by Josu Garoña. C.S.D Punta Ballena made a substitution. Larra Briz replaced Leo Busvidad. After 68 played minutes C.S.D Punta Ballena got a freekick which was hit by Josu Garoña. A collision led to Club Dep. Soc. Rodo getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Vidal Ximeno hit a great ball. Isaias Fuertehijar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Donatello Barajo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 87th minute, C.S.D Punta Ballena's Bonifaco Villalcazar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Donatello Barajo. Donatello Barajo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 0-8 when Isaias Fuertehijar sped through Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Donatello Barajo. 94 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goal looked a bit too open when Jusepe Arcelay came free, but Donatello Barajo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isaias Fuertehijar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Donatello Barajo made a huge save. C.S.D Punta Ballena's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
