Bozkurt's Tomasz Laskowski quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Ikonom Chushev hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. When Kai Havertz came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Bozkurt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kai Havertz couldn't finish the play. 26 minutes into the match, Bozkurt's goalkeeper Arda Göksel Yalman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zhivko Kudev. The audience was convinced that Kai Havertz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dariusz Czciborek was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Kai Havertz took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dariusz Czciborek. Dariusz Czciborek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 34 minutes into the match, Birmingham City F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Kai Havertz came free, but Dariusz Czciborek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute of the match Bozkurt got a corner. Birmingham City F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Olgierd Literski ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Olgierd Literski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dariusz Czciborek quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Birmingham City F.C.'s goalkeeper Dariusz Czciborek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dariusz Czciborek came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Bozkurt's Kai Havertz. But to his dismay, Kai Havertz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Gürhan Sarıoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dariusz Czciborek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kai Havertz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Dariusz Czciborek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kai Havertz, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhivko Kudev in the 52nd minute of play forced Bozkurt's goalkeeper Arda Göksel Yalman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Bozkurt players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
