Abel Calçada might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Musso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel Calçada ran back to his position shaking his head. Erik Beckeman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Juan Musso made a huge save. Abel Calçada kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Abel Calçada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Juan Musso made a huge save. John Yip hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Juan Musso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qu Wei Guang in the 25th minute of play. Abel Calçada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Juan Musso made a huge save. When Danilo Amaro fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tutti Mammati's protests and gave Danilo Amaro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute, Danilo Amaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mogel Izcaray made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Beckeman in the 88th minute of play forced Rosario Central FC's goalkeeper Juan Musso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Madaleno Quevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Musso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Madaleno Quevedo scored 3-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Musso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
