A well-hit corner resulted in Matúš Martin heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Nikola Krstović came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the AFK Petržalka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikola Krstović couldn't finish the play. If Nikola Krstović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Jirka struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Kryspin Wyrostek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFK Petržalka. Hugo Fisher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Przemyslaw Bulkiewicz's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Newcastle United's Lucjan Turak seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lucjan Turak the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Newcastle United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lucjan Turak had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Newcastle United! In the 21st minute there was a penalty for AFK Petržalka. Nikola Krstović stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kryspin Wyrostek. 0-1. Kryspin Wyrostek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikola Krstović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the game, AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kryspin Wyrostek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Nikola Krstović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kryspin Wyrostek having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Borys Szarmach made a kick off. Nikola Krstović succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-9 in the 72nd playminute. 75 minutes into the match, Nikola Krstović had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kryspin Wyrostek. Newcastle United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFK Petržalka the free kick. The supporters of AFK Petržalka booed when Newcastle United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Paraszczuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, Alek Justus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kryspin Wyrostek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikola Krstović in the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kryspin Wyrostek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 0-11 became the score in the 86th minute when Nikola Krstović elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Nikola Krstović put it in 0-12 from a short distance just to the right of Kryspin Wyrostek. Nikola Krstović scored 0-13 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kryspin Wyrostek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
