The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 20th minute Florencio Librado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kryspin Wyrostek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of BAC Belgrano de Cba booed when Newcastle United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernard Seliga to make the kick off. Roch Wawak kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. When Lucjan Jaroszewicz fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
