Genaro Ponciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Schrijns in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Olavs Eliass dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Paredes Fortes, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Schrijns in the 14th minute of play forced FC Iecēni's goalkeeper Genaro Ponciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Iecēni's attentive Uvis Svitiņš managed to snatch the ball when Gonçalo da Silveira made a throw-in in the 15th minute of the game. AKI CORINTHIANS's Paredes Fortes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save AKI CORINTHIANS from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by AKI CORINTHIANS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gints Lielgalvis was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Iecēni's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on FC Iecēni's corner Viktors Behmans fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paredes Fortes quite easily take care of the ball. Viktors Behmans took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paredes Fortes. Paredes Fortes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Genaro Ponciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bert Karlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olavs Eliass got free with Paredes Fortes in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 29 minutes into the match, AKI CORINTHIANS's goal looked a bit too open when Marek Hamšík came free, but Paredes Fortes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paredes Fortes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marek Hamšík's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the game, FC Iecēni's Olavs Eliass nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paredes Fortes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Olavs Eliass sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Genaro Ponciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Negri in the 40th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olavs Eliass got free with Paredes Fortes in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marek Hamšík stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marek Hamšík scored 4-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paredes Fortes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olavs Eliass in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paredes Fortes saved AKI CORINTHIANS from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olavs Eliass in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paredes Fortes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 70 minutes, Olívio da Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AKI CORINTHIANS and the FC Iecēni players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for AKI CORINTHIANS! 76 minutes into the match, Alfred Schrijns notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of FC Iecēni's Genaro Ponciano. Genaro Ponciano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The AKI CORINTHIANS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paredes Fortes should have stopped the shot. Paredes Fortes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavs Eliass in the 88th minute of play. Ciro Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 93rd minute Marek Hamšík shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paredes Fortes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Genaro Ponciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Iecēni had won after a very even match.
